Netbooks are often said to be underpowered due to the Intel Atom CPUs that are being put in them. Well, that’s about to change.

Atom processors are used mostly in netbooks and in some new tablets. They are very cheap and consume less power.
But is it worth saving a few tens of dollars and going for an Atom processor? Does it even come close to core 2 duo, core i3 processor in terms of processor performance?

Tablets existed even before the iPad. But it is the iPad which has initiated what seems to be the era of the next generation of computing devices.
